Benecom Technologies, founded in 1991, started out as an IBM AS/400 and midrange provider of system and peripheral products and services but over the years has become a multi-faceted technologies company. Benecom has evolved into a networking and telecommunications business providing network, telephone and cable and wiring services to its vast array of customers.
We still sell and service the IBM products but early in our history added PCs, servers, LAN, WAN and all printers to what we sell and service. Remote backup solutions, firewalls, spam filtering as well as managed network services have also been added to our product line. Along the way we got into the Key, PBX and in the last few years VOIP phone systems and this spurred on a significant growth in the cable and wiring services including total wiring infrastructure. We’ve since added video surveillance to our list of offerings.
Besides the basic technological products and services that a typical business or government may use, we also handle some specialized products. We have a plastic card product line where we provide software, cameras, computers and plastic card printers in vertical markets such as casinos (player cards), schools (student ID cards) and employee ID badges. We’ve developed a drivers license software application to swipe and capture information from the back of drivers licenses and have also developed an evacuation/disaster assistance system to help local government agencies in tracking residents in need.
